KASD Flexible Instruction Day - Friday, December 23, 2022

December 22, 2022

Hello KASD Families,

There is another winter storm heading our way. The National Weather Service has issued warnings for high winds, dangerously low wind chill, snow, and a flash freeze at our scheduled dismissal time on Friday. Rather than use another snow day this early in the winter season, KASD will be having a Flexible Instruction Day on Friday, December 23. This means that students will meet with their teachers online for each of their regularly scheduled classes. This is a scheduled early dismissal day, so classes will only meet from 8:00 a.m. until noon.

Students will be coming home with their Chromebooks, chargers, and a schedule for their online classes. Students will also bring home assignments that can be completed without being online. Should your child not be able to access internet, they may complete these paper assignments and turn them in after the break to still receive credit for attendance. Offices will be available by phone for questions throughout the morning.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation. Have a wonderful Holiday season with your family and friends.

Keep safe,
Jeannine Kloss
